The Fandom Police (also known as Anti-Shippers) are basically people that argue that problematic ships and content that are incestuous, abusive, pedophilic, etc, shouldn't be allowed on any social media platform. They are found on any social media platforms (mostly on Twitter), and just keep in mind that a large fraction of them consists of Social Justice Warriors and teenagers that are under 18.
Why They're Rotten
- To get the elephant out of the room, the biggest issue the Fandom Police/Anti-Shippers have is that when they see someone (some of which are called Pro-Shippers, who is someone that's who doesn't agree that people should be harassed over fiction in this case) that ships a pairing that is problematic to them, such as Shiro x Keith and Jotaro x Joseph (one being a perfectly fine ship and the other an incest ship), they waste their time harassing, dogpiling (see #10) and being unnecessarily rude to the person until they private/deactivate their account and/or block the users that are harassing them.
- A JJBA artist named Amuiiart was harassed by the fandom police on their Instagram because they shipped Jotaro x Joseph which is an incest pairing and drew fanart of said ship. They also accused Amuii for drawing child porn because of this drawing, yet it isn't even sexual.
- They also completely ignored that Amuii said that they don't support real-life incest
- Many antis lashed out on another JJBA artist named arciiarc for drawing fanart of the Giorno x Josuke pairing (another incest ship). It's worth noting one that anti even had the audacity to say that they were glad that the their cat died.

- They often spread false information and/or make exaggerations about a ship they don't like to push their agendas. For example, they label ships between a 18 year old and a 15-16 year old as "Pedophilic" even though the age gap isn't that large (Deku x Mirio). Another would be that they may call a ship between two characters that are canonically friends as "incestuous" because one of the characters referred the other as his brother (Pesci x Prosciutto).
- Many of them even believe that ships between adopted siblings, such as Eren x Mikasa and Catra x Adora, are incestuous, which isn't true to begin with.
- They don't allow people over 18 years of age to like an underaged character or ship two underaged characters together such as Bakugo x Deku mostly because of their age.
- A user was labelled as a pedophile by a fandom cop for saying that Eri from My Hero Academia is best girl and that they were 25 years old.
- They also go after artists that draw NSFW art even though a majority of the Anti-Shippers mostly consist of people that are under 18.
- Around May of 2020, they plotted to false mass report artists that they see as problematic.
- They are known for not separating fiction from reality to where they even go as far as to accuse people, including victims of CSEM and incest, of supporting pedophilia and incest for drawing or shipping anything that involves said things. That's basically the equivalent of calling someone a murderer for consuming or liking certain media that has murder such as Death Note and Killing Stalking. They also accuse people of "sexualizing minors" for the littlest of things.
- They say that they’re “just minors trying to feel safe” but why are they being encouraged by adults in their circles to interact with supposed “pedophilic” accounts in the first place?
- A therapist was harassed by the Fandom Cops and was accused of "defending child porn" all because they made a thread on Twitter about the Fandom Police. It got so bad that they had to lock their account so that the antis would leave them alone.
- On Urban Dictionary, an anti made a definition for the GioMis ship, saying that it's pedophilic and calls anyone who ships it disgusting
- Some antis in the Avatar: The Last Airbender fandom went after Dante Basco (Zuko's voice actor) and accused him of sexualizing children for posting a Tiktok of him reacting to a singer rapping about ATLA ships.
- A woman that was cosplaying Daisy Mae from Animal Crossing New Horizons accused for sexualizing a minor because the outfit the cosplayer was wearing had cleavage and was wearing high heels.
- Some Animal Crossing fans were mad that people were drawing gijinka art of Timmy and Tommy as adult human men.
- On Twitter, an anti was openly talking about wanting to hurt people that create content that "romanticizes abuse".
- Some antis are even criminals themselves as they have done illegal things that got a few of them arrested.
- An adult anti doxxed a proshipper and had threatened to leak their address to adult men with the intention to have them raped to "teach them a lesson".
- An anti came back from a hiatus from Twitter, only to reveal she had been incarcerated for raping someone.
- Don't even bother wasting your time reasoning with them since you're more than likely to be dogpiled (another one of their tactics) if you say something that can lead to harassment.
- A Haikyuu!! fan made a post saying to ship what you want but their post received backlash from the fandom police.
- Most antis often don't bother censoring the username of someone that did/said something they didn't agree with which leads to targeted harassment by the anti's followers.
- A user publicly shamed a 13 year old user for "lewding" a character from some anime that was 12 years old.
- They're so bad that there was even an account on Twitter (now deleted) made about them that shows screenshots of them in action
- Many of them even called actual child protection agencies on artists that drew NSFW art of underaged characters. This wastes resources as well their time that could've been used for saving actual children that are being abused or exploited. This got so bad that they are literally begging the antis to stop comparing drawings to real-life CSEM.
- Ironically enough, the Anti-Shippers seem to care more about fictional characters than real children.
- Their hatred towards "problematic" ships, art and fanfiction may even go as far as to where death threats and suicide baiting are sent towards anyone that consumes or creates that media.
- In February 2021, a Dream fanfiction writer on Archive Of Our Own recently committed suicide after receiving death threats by antis from the DreamSMP Fanbase because they wrote a fanfiction about Dream that had themes that were triggering such as animal abuse and also because the fanfic was about a real person. Writing a fanfic about a real person is one thing, but harassing and sending death threats to someone over a fanfic to the point where they commit suicide is going WAY TOO FAR!
- When they see something that is problematic or triggering, they fail to realize that they can simply use the block and mute buttons (which many websites have by the way) and not interact with the person making the content.
Redeeming Qualities
- Some Proshippers can be just as bad as the antis themselves, such as the controversy where a 26 year-old Proshipper made a 500 page callout on an 13 year-old anti for having a crush on a fictional character
