Yeah. The site is already mired in controversy for the whole Captain Marvel thing, but when I saw this video... https://youtu.be/JazvodMxNJM Basically, in a paywalled New York Times article, a rep for Rotten Tomatoes ADMITTED the changes to the site were indeed because of Captain Marvel, and not because of a glitch or other stuff. They also talked about further limiting audience feedback in the future.

What do you guys think?

If they will do as they say there is a chance it will end up here since screwing userbases is a reason for a site to have its article on this wiki.

But they removed the user reviews because they were hate-bombing Captain Marvel, or not?

IIRC, I think that was the case. To be more specific, I think people were vote brigading the Want to See ratings over a comment that Brie Larson made. I can kind of understand where Rotten Tomatoes is coming from, but I don't think that they're handling this situation the right way.

I think a bigger reason a lot of people brigaded the score was out of concern for Endgame and the future of the MCU. The marketing for Captain Marvel hyped Carol Danvers to be the most powerful of all heroes, and the press also hyped her to be the "new face of the MCU". People were worried Endgame would end with CM one-shotting Thanos like an overpowered Mary Sue.

TEchnically, they weren't review bomb, they went to the not interested section pointing out that they weren't going to see the movie because of Brie Larson's SJW comments.

That'd actually be kinda ironic because Rotten Tomatoes has "Rotten" in the title and this wiki is called "Rotten Websites Wiki" lol.
